You mean you can make your own tracks for Jeep Evo2, Max? "When all else fails, look at the instruction manual." - G&B

Max means that the tracks from Jeep Evo2 have been converted to Evo2 and are here for download . And yes , you can get tracks in the demo . It's not a task for the faint of heart tho (yet) . I just got it working myself (and have some beta testers checking them and helping me) and I think that I am the first to get it to work (check me if I'm wrong) . Details at this point are sketchy at best so I won't go into them . Give me some more test and experiment time and I plan an easy to use tut to get tracks made with Tracked4 into it . Since I can't keep my fingers out of anything , I had custom trucks in the demo within days of it's release (others did too however) . http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/

How do you add custom trucks to Jeep Evo2? (And is Tracked4 the Evo2 editor?) "When all else fails, look at the instruction manual." - G&B

The 1 link is still good . After they are gone , someone else will have to post it somewhere as I don't want to abuse the sites in case I need them again . Here is the post .http://vales.com/Evo2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15327 http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/

I have put together a "patch" that will convert OBSPARK.POD from the retail version of Evo2 into a fully working , 6 mission track for Jeep Evo2 .All you need is Podview to extract the files , and Podtool to put it back together . Tearing this pod apart and studying the contents (along with a good readme (included)) , should put you well on your way to converting other tracks . I have a few more I could do patches for if this works out . You can downoad it here . Let me know if it works and what you think . File is just under 1 MB .

I found some web space . Not enough to host the whole Jeep demo , but I have Tomb Raider : Trail of Life demo up there . It's almost the same game and you can add tracks to it too once I get the patch together .You can download the demo here . It's the only thing there for now . The Jeep Evo2 files are there now . Contains a readme file . You only need this file if you can't find Jeep Evo2 . If you already have it , you have all of these because that's where they came from . Just from 1 free game to another . http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/

Custom Camp .Through a little bit of playing , I have found that the trick we used to get the Jeep Evo2 tracks into the editor years ago (deleting the "path" information) also works to get the CAMP.POD in the editor . To make a custom camp you need to make a copy of that info (paths) , delete it , edit the track , and paste it back into the .sit .
To do this , open the .sit with Wordpad , scroll down to "paths" , and make the line look like this . #*** Paths *** pathCount 0 *** Stadium *** The number will be 20 when stock . Paste all of the stock info back between the "paths" and the "stadium" lines after editing and build a new pod with Podtool . With this , you can pretty much build any camp you want , from junkyard to forest . If you move the trucks , Don't go into the Photoshow , it might not find it's way back out . The "fire" will be gone , too if you use the Tomb Raider camp to start . http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/

The complete , untouched version of Jeep Evo2 is available now if you never had the game and still can't find it . The download is 74 MB . Any files that were not needed to run were removed . The Tomb Raider game is gone because it was 60 MB alone . Three pods from it are included in the download (RAIDER.POD , CAMP.POD , TRUCK.POD) . The extras are for conversion purposes only . Yep , that's herbie !! The truck pod replaces 6 out of 8 trucks . The Rubicon and the Grand Cherokee were left in . It's maybe 85% finished and will be available when done (before you ask ) . The model came from the 15,000 model web site and I made the texture and mapped it . The Chevelle in the background is just a track prop . All the other trucks are scratch built or TRI's . http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/

So thats what you need to do to get them in the editor... For the life of me i could never figure that out, would always get an editor crash or something.. Nice work Warrior.Regarding the new camp, does the camera still move and shift from the trucklot to the shack and back to the post like it does with the stock camp? Is it path or course related or something else? Jeez this could make for a pretty nifty track\author specific platform for someone wanting to create their own mission set. Would be heck of a nice way to showcase something new.... --------- Chachoze

Chach , the camera is on paths , but I can't edit those because of a different format from Tracked4 (hence the crash) . It still goes to where the cabin was but stops at the point where the first pic was . There is no "SCRIPTS" folder for the camp , so it must be hard coded in the .exeThere are 8 trigger boxes where the trucks go (named "truck1 - 8") and 7 trigger boxes for the camera (named "cam1 - 7") . Since I moved box 8 (the Willys , the Love Bug in the custom pod) , the camera gets lost on the way back from the "Picture Show" . It starts to head to where it was , gets caught in a loop , and then goes back in . I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get out of it . Only happens when you leave from the Willys (or Love Bug) . It still goes to the "signpost" just fine . BTW , the new website has more sections open now . There is no content for the MTM section or the Flatout section yet so I killed the links . Each section opens in a new window , so just close that when done , and you will be back at the main menu where you left from . Here is the link again . http://mobwarrior.adakist.com/ http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/mob_warrior/ Edited by - ~M.O.B~Warrior on Sep 29 2005 11:57:50 AM

Well after some tinkering and info from Warriors work on Jeep Evo, I found out how to manipulate paths for the camp. The path properties for each path set in Jeep Evo has 3 extra options that arent available in Evo2.By simply removing the red colored items from the sit for each path set and leaving the rest of the path info in place it is possible to work with the paths in the editor. I even moved one of the vehicles to the side of the cabin and adjusted its corresponding camera path to suit and now the camera works properly when goin in and out of the cabin. There is no need to put the extra lines back into the sit when your done, Jeep Evo works just fine without them. So now creating your own camp pod should be quit easy. Here are the differences in the path system. --------Jeep Evo Paths-------- Path 1 of 20 --------------------------- pointCount 26 type 1 direction 0 loopStart 0 loopEnd 0 stopLoopFlag 0 cycles 0 time 0 pauseTimeElapsed 0 t 0 tension 0 stopFlag 0 collisionType 0 object 33 Here are a few screenshots, sorry for the horrible jpeg compression, I'm trying to keep the files sizes manageable for dialup users.
Here is a shot of the entire camp from the editor.
A closeup of the camera paths
A closeup of my altered vehicle location and path.
And a shot of the the new location in game.
I thought this was kind of interesting. Its the model of the cabin and its various parts that are need to make the screenshot billboards work.
Strangly enough I noticed that what ever direction I pointed my truck box the vehicle always pointed in the same direction as the rest of the vehicles. I looked into the vehicle locations in the sit but couldnt come up with anything so keep that in mind if you plan to build your own camp.

Ohh for crying out loud HABITATXSKATE & bejoe... You guys are nOObs and telling people to e-mail you a 137MB file? Ya, best of luck with that, I'm sure everyone here has nothing better to do than waste half a day e-mailing some nOObs a huge file. Get with the program dudes, this is a self-service web site, not a Dominos pizza delivery service. The game is posted here http://vales.com/programs/jpevo2.iso It's a CD image (.iso) file. You'll need a program like Dameon Tools to open the .iso as a virtual CD drive to install it. thought he was wrong once, turns out he was mistaken.
