On the top topic here you have an "Edit this Parts Listing" link.

On the bottom of the Edit Listing page there is a checkbox to put that listing as the MY PC link under your name.

I went ahead and set this PC for yours for you.

How could over clocking your system actually be a good idea?

Just curious...

Well, besides from allowing you to do more things and not have to spend alot of cash but instead buying a cheap cpu an overclocking it and actuallu saving alot. My cpu is now as good as a E8500. I bought my cpu for abour $110 and a E8500 is about $190.... And sure there are risks but if you have good cooling its not really that dangerous

I think that I just noticed what confused me earlier.

Trying to squeeze a little more out of a PC Wiz score 5569 for some game by over clocking might be worth the effort.

But I missed something because the PC Wiz score has gone up almost 300.% (21,162) And I was assuming that speed system less the over clocking.

Run's 6 monitors, beat's Gtx 295 in Crysis benchmark, really expensive. Seem really nice. Unless your going to want to run 6 monitors with Crysis War Head on enthusiast, not the best card for you. 4870HD will still be a better all around card imo, you can pick one up for about $150.
But if you do want a Ati 5000 series card, the 5850 and 5770 are the cheapest but still really fast. Balth got him a 5770 if I'm correct. Ask him about it to see how he likes it.

If it's broke FIX it. If it's not broke, OVERCLOCK it. If OVERCLOCKING breaks it, get ready to buy a new one

Yeah i was thinking of the 5850 cause i mean it performs really good and it doesnt cost a fortune cause im changing the cpu after christmas when its the cheapest to a Intel Quad Q9550 and run 5850 in crossfire when games have good support for it

I would pick 5850 too if I had the need for it. Downside, you could prbabaly heat up a small Mcdonald's in Asia with 5850 crossfire and a newer Intel Quad.

You must be thinking of a really small room or a different card boom50cal. 8)

5850

The 5000 series biggest improvements are in power consumption.

out of curiosity, how much amperage would it be drawing at 151 watts?

Watts (Power) = Current (Amps) * Power (Voltage).
Therefore, Current=Watts / Voltage, and Voltage = Watts / Current.

Where people get confused is where they are measuring the Power.

Inside your PC, 12 Volts is used for things like turning your drive motors and add-on video cards, 5 Volts is used for logic.
For simplicity's sake, we will call household power 120 Volts even though it is usually 110-115V.

150 Watts video card max power @ 12 Volts would require 12.5 Amps from the power supply, but the power supply itself would only require 1.5 Amps from the wall socket.

By the PSU stepping down the voltage by a factor of 10, it increases it's Current potential by a factor of 10.

A typical household AC socket on a 15 Amp breaker can provide 1,800 Watts per circuit (all sockets on the same breaker).

If a PSU didn't have to share it's power with the +5 and other Voltages, it could provide 18,000 Watts on the 12 Volt line with the PSU plugged into a 15 Amp circuit breaker outlet.

There are of course many MANY other factors involved, but that gives you the basic math.

If you ever want to test how much a given breaker circuit in your house has on it, turn everything on, then plug in a 1200-1500 Watt hand blow dryer and put it on high.

More basic info here if you want to learn more.
