Kaspersky 2009 is a very good Anti-Virus program.
I seen this Fry's ad in today's paper.
3 user license, $70, -$20 instant rebate, -$50 mail in rebate = FREE.

Good deal if your anti-virus auto-update is about to expire.
I'd jump on it if I did just renew my Norton Gaming Edition a couple of months ago.

how long does a license last? I'd like to have a paid version of an anti-virus, but don't have the money. This would be great if it lasts for a good while. Haha, I saw Bit Defender on there for -0.01. I'd want my penny if I got that. :P

One year auto-updates, and in a year you load your second license, and in another year you load your last one, so 3 years.
And in was $69.99 so you come out a penny ahead too ;-}

Whats wrong with Windows defender? It's got me totally impressed. Am I missing some virus scanner issue?

So, I could take on license, use it for one year, then use the next one? Hm, that's awesome. I might look into getting this. Kapersky isn't too much of a system hog is it? I know we had Norton about 3 years ago, and I always had to turn it off.

Ya, it's not too bad but a bit of a pest sometimes, I ran the trial for a month.
I am still liking Norton Gamer Edition.
McAfee on the other hand sure went down hill, besides the screens they even start e-mailing you to renew months before your updates expire.

Also note that the software doesn't quit working when updates expire, you just aren't protected from anything new after it does.

Shoot, just as I was going to order it, I see its over. However, Bit Defender is still -0.01. I'll go ahead and get that, and try it out for a while. Its 3 PCs for 2 years, so that mean I would get 6 years? :P

I don't know. Some of them start the timer on the 1st install for all 3, some don't.

Hm, then I guess I'll throw a copy on my parents computer too, and in 2 years, try to use a second license, and if it doesn't work, then oh well, I'm sure I can find a deal like this again eventually. :P
