I recently found my Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition Server has a potential virus.

The Web Server, FTP Server and Remote Desktop were not affected, but the server itself could not access the Internet or send/receive e-mail.

Most every trial anti-virus needs to connect to the Internet which of course is impossible, that is the problem.

This 30 day demo for AVG Business Edition or File Server Edition will work.

Fill out the form and DL the full install program to another machine.

My FTP was not affected so I upload the install to the server and installed it, and they e-mail you the reg code good for 30 days.

I have it running as I type this and think I found the culprit.
"C:\VAdata\VAdata\tools\Adobe Acrobat v9.0_Professional_Extended_(2008)\keygen.exe";"Trojan horse Proxy.AJMH"

A proxy trojan makes perfect sense.

Do you have somebody you are hosting for that made a goof up or something?

*update*
There was virus but it wasn't the problem.
It is either some server setting I can't find or, or a router issue.
I will look into it this weekend as I have a Black Friday internet sale on motorized bike motors until midnight tonight.

i had a lill peak into the router here i didnt see the server listed at clientlist here all other pcs are here
maybe thats the glitch i dunno

another thing we working on setup the new server here
if we set it up with server os from scratch and copy the forum files/folders over to it how long do you need to get that up and runs? (if you remember all settings )
plan was setup new server make it run and still have the old one
as backup
then we can use the time we need to figure out whats wrong with old server

Well, I added the server to the list but it didn't change anything.
I don't know if resetting the router would help or not.
I'll be trying some other things today but it's sure a pain in the butt.

I can probably configure it using TeamView or something so let me know when it's together.
All of the web sites are on the D: drive but there is a whole lot more of them than when we started.
