Calculator Plus
This is the Windows calculator plus conversions.
Microsoft Windows freeware.
Link: Microsoft Download Center / Calculator Plus download page.

I thought this converter might be good for someone who does not need a butt load of conversion units so here it is. (see below)

Or for a converter with a butt load of units (1,000 plus) I like this one. (freeware)

Spiffy.
I am still using that little stand alone Convert.exe for my conversions, it's mindlessly easy to use and I just put the .exe on my desktop.

Ya, Quadlocks converter is just a .exe as well.

I used both of them for awhile and thought they were both great. Selecting conversions units was just a little slower with Quadlocks converter. But Quadlock does more conversions than converter.exe could handle and has a nifty find feature.

Quad-Lock Unit Converter is a freeware tool that can take care of all your unit conversions within seconds. It contains more than 1000 units of measurement commonly encountered while solving engineering or everyday conversion problems. It includes a Search function to quickly find units, support for adding custom units, and a smart input box that evaluates calculations & complex expressions. Only the most common units are visible by default (e.g. Area, Distance, Temperature, Velocity) but hundreds more are included and easily found using Search.

note: That bold parts here - edit/preferences/visable catagorys
