If you want to set a default user and skip the windows login screen:

1.Click Start and Run
2.Type "Control Userpasswords2" and press enter.
3.Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
4.Click Apply and Ok.

Disabling prompt for password after Windows XP resumes from standby or hibernation:

1.Click Start, Settings, and Control Panel
2.Double-click Power Options
3.Uncheck the "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" option.
4.Click Apply and then Ok.

Or you can use the windows CD and boot up to command prompt via Control Console mode.
As far as using the PC without knowing the password, no you can't, or they wouldn't be of much use would they ;-}

That tip must be for a system that has multiple user accounts but you want to automatically be logged on to one user account every time windows loads. Right?

As far as I can tell it has no effect on my stand alone single user PC at least. 8)

Hmmm. Damn. How about getting into the administrator account from bootup on Vista/Windows7?

None of that really helps, but thanks!

Jimmy, you are asking for some easy way to hack someones Admin login.
There isn't one.
If there were no computer or server would be safe.
Get it?
