My wife's office PC she finnally let me bench mark. This PC is strictly off limits to other family members, WORK ONLY. If her company finds out I even downloaded the PCwiz she might be looking for a new job. THey are pretty strict on their PC's. No games, no other programs just work stuff.

Only good thing is they update every three years so maybe then this will be mine, atleast it is a little better then what I have running now on hte other side of the house.

Yeah this one came with vista, her company requires XP professionial, then Full version of Office 2007 there were a couple other expensive software boxes in there too. SO it has a couple hundred dollars worth of MicsroSoft programs on it.
THe only good thing is she gets a reimbursement every month, plus office expense.

Go to your motherboard manufacturers website, Asus in this case, and get the driver(s) there. It should be an .exe file that you run, then reboot when it is completed.

My last few boards have been Asus and they make the update process pretty painless.

would that fix the onboard LAN? I had to slide in a PCI one to get on the net with it,but would like to have that slot back for other things if there is already one built into motherboard.

After reading up a little more on internet, this HP built machine was designed for Vista and everybody that customized it with XP and other hardware always had issues with finding XP drivers, I found a couple sites that had links to Intel and other manufactor sites... Thanks again XJ It may take me a little longer but I will get it!

I bet you could install Windows 7 and have far less issues. Are you interested? Message me on Facebook for more details. It will be worth your while.

Is that happening with the current version?
Just curious.

By the way...
You did not really need to install the software on your wife's hard drive to run it.

Not really sure of that XJ, win7 kinda loaded everything by itself and everything worked so I didn't spend much time seeking updates.

I am not on Win7 yet buy build/worked on a couple and it really is pretty slick, it sure beats the snot out of Vista.
