This info will show you how to make a truck .POD from loose files with PodTool, which is the easiest method.

This tutorial assumes that you have already prepared the required truck files correctly, and have them ready for podding.

================================================================

1. Create a new folder on your desktop. You can name it anything, but I recommend giving it the name of your new truck to make it easier to locate. For this tutorial I will name mine SAMPLE TRUCK.

.

2. Create 3 more folders within the new truck folder and name them ART, MODELS and TRUCK.......SPELLING IS CRITICAL!

3. Place all your truck's texture files in the ART folder (.TIFs, and/or .RAWs & .ACTs), all models in the MODELS folder (.SMF and/or .BINS) and your .TRK file goes in the TRUCK folder.

4. Start PODtool and click NEW to begin the process.

5. Locate your truck's main folder in the left window and click on it to select/highlight it. All of it's contents, the ART, MODELS and TRUCK folders (along with anything else you may have in there) will appear in the middle window.

6. Drag the ART, MODELS and TRUCK folders from the middle to the right window. All of the files within those 3 folders will appear in the right window. (see arrow #1)

7. Click the OK button... (see arrow #2).... The main Podtool window will close and a different one will appear showing your files.

8. Click the SAVE icon (looks like a floppy disk).

9. Locate your 4x4 EVO2 game folder in the SAVE IN box. (see arrow #1)

10. Type in the name you selected for your new truck .POD in the FILE NAME box. (see arrow #2)

(IMPORTANT: Make sure your chosen pod name says ".POD" at the end, and that there are no blank spaces anywhere in the name. )
Podtool does NOT add the.POD extension to the filename itself.

11. Finally, click SAVE and PodTool will create your new truck .POD in the 4x4EVO2 game folder. (see arrow #3)

Your POD is now complete and ready to install into your game like you would any downloaded truck or track (This is assuming that you have created all of your custom files correctly).
