The real BIGFOOT #1 was created and owned by Bob & Marilyn Chandler.

In 1976, Bob began the first of what would seem like an endless series of modifications.

BIGFOOT #1 began its career as a 1974 Ford F-250, with a 460 C.I. big-block V8 that was bored out to 640 cubic inches and breaths through dual Predator carburators. The truck rode on 48" tires, and the famous rear steering was introduced in 1979. The same year, it also starred in the movie "Take This Job And Shove It".

Eventually the truck was fitted with 5-ton military axles and the now well-known 66" tires. Thus was the birth of the very first monster truck.

1981 marked a historic moment for monster trucks. That year Chandler drove BIGFOOT over a couple of junk cars, just for fun, to see if he could do it. Well, needless to say, the truck drove right over the top of the cars, and the rest is history. BF-1 was also the first monster truck to drive over cars for an audience in 1982.

Bigfoot got its name when Bob Chandler asked friend Ron Magruder why he was breaking so many parts on his truck. Magruder responded, "It's because of your big foot."

A big thanks to Rep Fan for allowing me to bring this truck to EVO2.

------------------------------CREDITS--------------------------------

The body model was originally made by Drive2Survive, and then was modified by Rep Fan and Malibu350 for this project. Mal redid the body, made the fender flares, and then re-mapped the whole thing. Axles, engine, shocks, bumpers, etc. were ALL made by Rep Fan, who also completed the truck for Monster Truck Madness-2.

Updates made to the EVO2 version by BigDOGGe:

New tires with 3D treads and simulated chrome wheels.
New rollbar and rollbar lights with smoother surfaces (more polygons).
Photo textures on the carburators and simulated chrome added to the air cleaners.
Shock mount eyelets added to the top of the shock shafts (originally were painted on the frame).
Chrome highlights added to the front grill.
Shaded window textures.
Functional EVO2 lights and .TRK file setup

Vertices (less axles and tires): 2636

If you wish to use any parts from this truck for your own projects (other than the tires and rollbar), contact Rep Fan for permission first at:
bigblock66@hotmail.com

If you wish to upload this EVO2 truck intact to another website or convert it for another game format, contact BigDOGGe for permissions first at:
ZOtm_BigDOGGe@yahoo.com

Looks great Dood.

That is the proper way to give credit, and to ask in the 1st place. I appreciate your consideration, and it turned out just awesome, it even looks great in this game too.

Nice job bro.

Do some more...

Update: I added the FIRESTONE logo to the tires, as I should have done in the first place. Snapshots have been updated too.

The logo is only seen on one side of the tires (the outside), as is the case on the real stuff.

The all-time classic Monster truck. I decided to get this one after grabbing Awesome Kong 2 today. I have a plastic model of this truck from childhood that still resides on my bookcase. Rep Fan and BD yet again have done an excellent job paying attention to detail. The re--textured tires look very nice, as does the rest of the truck.
The only thing I seem to be having problems with is clear windows, does it not come with them or is low reflection too high on this truck?

No, the MTM2 version did not have an interior, and none was added when it was converted to EVO2. Maybe someday in the (near?) future...

Uh-huh, but the key point you missed was, it's the same truck.

Go back to the top and read the ENTIRE description I wrote, especially the part where I mention that the truck started with the 48" tires seen in your photo before it received the 66-inchers and bigger axles.

I can still remember seeing Bigfoot-1 for the first time in a 4x4 magazine with the 48's long before anyone thought of putting those huge sixty-six-inch terra tires on a pick-up truck.

But it wasn't called Bigfoot-1 at the time because they only HAD one truck. It received the "1" in the name after they started building more Bigfoots.

how can that truck be the one in my picture? it's wheels are HUGE. the one you made is a later version like maybe Bigfoot 2. go to their website at:

wwww.bigfoot4x4.com

either way, ill agree and do some investigating into the topic!

Because Chandler Kept modding the truck more and more until he had created the first monster truck with it.

I'm VERY familiar with the official Bigfoot website. This is the page you want... BIGFOOT 1 :
http://www.bigfoot4x4.com/bf1.html

Quoted from the Bigfoot site:

"BIGFOOT #1 starred in the largest single day event involving monster trucks at the Pontiac Silverdome, before 72,000 fans.

It evolved over a period of eight years, and has seen 18 different tire and wheel combinations, from its original street truck setup through the 10 foot tall Firestone Tundra tires, to the current standard-issue 66" Firestone 23 degree Flotation tires. "

Trust me. I'm 47 years old, and was fortunate enough to see the entire monster truck universe grow from nothing to what it is today, all beginning with this one awesome truck.

This is what Bigfoot-1 looks like these days...

sorry for being alittle off topic

i feel like running into something (5 secs later) you see a 70 story buildin down oops (then see a puff of smoke out of here) and screams it wasn't me......

No problem. You're on-topic, and that's actually Bigfoot-5 out in front with the 10-foot Tundras, not BF-1.

Great truck, even though BIGFOOT #1 started life as 1974 Ford f250 4x4, the body was replaced with a 1978 Ford F250 4x4 body powered by the 460 v8 punched out to 640 Cubic inches, the engine was an allendrew engine, this boby is the 78 body with the custom tube grille insert, the only thing this rig needs is a working winch.

This version of Bigfoot is an ultimate classic. I love it, and it's really fun to drive on monster truck tracks, including my Monster Truck Arena Fun track. Great job!

actually, that isn't the original BigFoot. this is a picture of the original BigFoot

Ha ha, that scene of that truck was also shown in one of the cutscenes of Monster Truck Madness 1.
