It looks good. Only thing that I would change is I would make the wheel wells longer to make the wheels fit better. (don't take this as me telling you to do anything)

I like it. The tires show up a little dark and miss-colored in Revo because they don`t have proper BUMP maps, but other than that it looks great. I recommend a 6" lift (thats what is on it in my picture) Only thing I would change is the wheel well size (as i stated previously) and the exhaust is a little big for my taste.

I have to agree on the wheel-wells. The tires overlap and penetrate the fenders, big truck-making no-no that makes it look fake. Raise it up to clear, else mod the fenders.

Huge exhaust? This is why we prefer that people actually try a vehicle before commenting on it. If you can't download it yet, wait until you can before posting....

...The oversize-looking tailpipe is just extension tips, folks...The complete exhaust system looks to scale:

JUNKIE, if you cannot run because of lag, try swapping the tires for stock evo2 tires in the game. Each custom tire is a whopping 13,000 vertices each (52,000 vertices total!)

The car model itself is only 35,000 verts. You should be able to handle that.

SUGGESTION: Perhaps a low-lag version with the hood fixed in place and no high-vertex engine installed could be uploaded too, for members with slower computers. I had to do that with a few of my own trucks.

I am having a difficult time getting this to appear in the showroom after selecting it in the Chevrolet list. The screen just goes black and a cursor appears - nothing else. Had to control "q" to quit the application.

Perhaps I'll try in a different copy of Evo2 and see if that's better.
I did try in another copy.
Basically the same results, however I could see it rotating on the right 3 inches of the screen, although the showroom was very dark. Some screen shots:

I then clicked on the orange button at the top of the window to make the window go to the dock. Then I click on it in the dock and it appeared on screen again, but I saw this for a second or two:

Weird what!

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right, if you can figure that out!

By the way, when I was looking at the motor, I discovered several faces missing on the rear of the left side head: Or would that be the valve cover?

Close up view:

Loosing any oil lately?

Nope, it looks fine in the showroom here. Perhaps it's a Mac-only thing. Can't do anything to test that hunch since I don't own an apple.

I did notice that the tire models are well over the 4800 vertex/face limit, and so do not show up in my game. Those need to be broken up into several objects before OK'ing.

I wonder if the too-many-verts defect is causing your showroom issue?

On bad systems the tire poly limit gets reduced. BD seams to be the only one left on an old enough system for it to do it now.

It happens on some systems, and has nothing to do with them being GOOD or BAD.

It's not how new the system is either, because four years ago I was hearing the same story ("I can see the the tires, but he can't..why?")

So far, I've seen it on a Pentium-2 with a 64-meg TNT2 card, a Pent-3 with 128-meg Geforce2, an Athlon 1.15ghz with ATI Radeon 256-meg, and a Celeron 3.2 ghz with Nvidia 512-meg 8400GS.

With some PCs, you just don't see those objects. With others, the game crashes with a "too many vertices" error message. Depends on the graphics card I guess, or the particular PC/card hardware combination.

Not all PCs will hide objects with excess vertices, but many still in use do.

TB knew the face limit for objects already. He just forgot because it's been so long since he made a truck.

I'll fix the Camaro for him. Toyota Boy and I have worked on trucks together before.

Does anyone still have this pod saved ?? .. It's been free a few times and the click image / save isn't working. .. Gas Monkeys keep repeating their big wheel Camaro 4x4 episode and apart from paint looks just like this one.
